Owlcrate Unboxing – June Box

I’m sure many of you have already heard of Owlcrate. It is a monthly subscription box. Every month you receive 3-5 bookish items as well as a newly published YA novel within this subscription box. The box is $29.99 a month.

I have been receiving Owlcrates since September of 2015. That means I’ve already gotten 9 Owlcrates. I have never been disappointed in this subscription service. I always receive items of equal or greater value to what I paid for the box. Also, it ensures me that I step out of my “box” to try books I otherwise may have overlooked. I am always excited to see my Owlcrate has been delivered. This month was no different.

The theme for June was Royalty. In this month’s box I received 4 bookish items in addition to a newly published YA novel.

This month I received:

IMG_0598.JPGMy Lady Jane by Cynthia Hand, Brodi Ashton , and Jodi Meadows

Description from Goodreads: “At sixteen, Lady Jane Grey is about to be married off to a stranger and caught up in a conspiracy to rob her cousin, King Edward, of his throne. But those trifling problems aren’t for Jane to worry about. Jane gets to be Queen of England.”

I had never heard of this book before receiving it in my Owlcrate this month. I’m intrigued by this retelling. Like many of the books I’ve received in Owlcrates in the past this is not a book I would have picked up on my own. However, I will be happy to give this book a try. I have found that the books in these boxes are the best to use in a reading slump. I don’t have any expectations for them so I can enjoy them with fresh eyes. All in all I’m happy with the book choice and am excited to give it a try. (Whenever I finish the 10000000 other books I still need to read)

1. Print by: Evie Bookish
2.Mystery Mini (Jasmine) by Funko
3. Handmade Bracelet from Rich Love Shoppe
4. Magnetic Bookmarks by Craftedvan

Overall, I am very happy with all of the items I received in my crate this month. I will have to say that the Jasmine Funko and the magnetic bookmarks are definitely by favorite items though. I absolutely adore magnetic bookmarks and use them all the time.

Are you a Owlcrate subscriber? What was your favorite item in this months box?

If you are wanting to subscribe to this service make sure you act quickly. Starting with July there will be a waiting list to subscribe. The July box will be good vs evil with half of the subscribers getting the “good” box and half receiving the “bad.” I’m excited to see what is in store for these next boxes! If you would like to subscribe click the link below! Also, feel free to ask me any questions regarding he service. I’d love to discuss it.

I want to subscribe!

      1. Oh my goodness you have got to try them. They don’t accidentally fall out of the book when carrying it with you. I’ve also found that I lose less of them because I can hook them on pages at the front/back of the book when I’m reading rather than putting it down somewhere and forgetting it. Barnes and Noble and Target have some adorable ones.
