July Owlcrate Unboxing – Good vs. Evil

I know, I know this is a super late Owlcrate Unboxing. However, there is a good reason for the delay. There was a bit of a problem with my Owlcrate’s delivery this month.

See, my Owlcrate was sent out to me in the middle of the month just like every other month. After the confirmation of the shipping I constantly tracked the package along the journey. The day finally arrived for my Owlcrate to come. However, it never showed up. That’s right it seems as though my package was lost in the mail. I immediately contacted Owlcrate’s customer service. The customer service employees were AWESOME. I cannot speak highly enough of them. They gave me a solution the next business day. It is honestly thanks to the great people at Owlcrate that I am able to still do an unboxing this month despite the slight snag in the plan. Seriously, this company obviously cares about it’s customers and ensuring satisfaction with there products. I am definitely satisfied.

tl;dr My owlcrate was lost in the mail and Owlcrate’s amazing customer service fixed my problem right away.

Now, on to the box. I cannot tell you how excited I was for this box. The “Good vs. Evil” title for this box and the idea of having two different boxes sent out to subscribers was awesome. I got the “Evil” box. I am very happy with my items I received this month. Without further ado, here are the items that I received in my Owlcrate this month!

Draco Malfoy Pop Figure from Funko
How cute is little Draco? He is an awesome addition to my new bookshelves.

Death Star necklace from Vector Engraving
I am often turned off by fandom jewelry because they can be big and bulky. This necklace on the other hand is perfect. It is fun while still being a little more inconspicuous for work. I absolutely adore it.

Queen of Hearts magnetic bookmark by Jane’s Tiny Things
Let’s be real, you can never have enough bookmarks. Especially cute magnetic bookmarks like this!

Illuminae quote sticker by Drop and Give Me Nerdy
Perfect quote with the perfect typography. Now, I just have to find a place to put this sticker so that I can stare at it forever.

This Savage Song with a letter and signed book play by Victoria Schwab

I’m going to be honest. I already had this book before I got my Owlcrate. (This is the first time this has happened to me by the way) But, I was still excited to receive the letter and signed bookplate. I kept this copy with the added swag and gifted Caitlynn with my other copy. Ultimately we were all winners.

All in all, I absolutely loved my Owlcrate this month. I have never been let down by this subscription service. Check out my review of last month’s box here. The real heroes here are the amazing employees over at Owlcrate.

  1. I do not personally subscribe to Owlcrate, but I find it to be an interesting concept. It’s basically a way to feed book lover hearts. Well, at least those who are interested in collecting paraphernalia. As a person who has decluttered my life of such items time and time again, I find myself unable to subscribe to Owlcrate, even as cool as it sounds. Though, I must ask: Is there anything else that drives you to get an Owlcrate box? Or is it just a love of bookish things and receiving packages(because I think everyone loves that :p)?

    1. I do enjoy the bookish things. However, I think what makes me continue to subscribe is that they’ve sent me a lot of great books that I would not have picked up on my own. Their selections are typically books I’ve never heard of. So, I love that it makes me read outside of my comfort zone.
