It is about that time guys. I can’t believe that it’s already October! This was easily my weakest reading month. Between my master’s program starting and school being back in session I was lucky to get any reading done at all. That being said because of my lack of reading in September I am now 1 book behind on my Goodreads challenge. Overall, I read 6 books in the month of September.
A Torch Against the Night by Sabaa Tahir
I loved this book. It was one of my favorite reads of this year so far. We actually did a discussion on this book. You can check it out here.
Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi
I haven’t been reading a lot of middle grade fiction lately. However, Mafi’s Furthermore makes me want to change that. I really enjoyed this story and can’t wait for more. We did a group discussion on this book. You can check it out here.
Wink Poppy Midnight by April Genevieve Tucholke
Unfortunately this book was not quite what I thought it would be. I wasn’t a huge fan of some of the plot points and the characters. If you would like to read my full review go here.
Rebel of the Sands by Alwyn Hamilton
I really enjoyed this book. I liked the characters and the journey within this book. It was a great start to a series and I’m excited to read more in this world. We did a group discussion on this book. You can check it out here.
Seriously…I’m Kidding by Ellen DeGeneres
Let’s be real I don’t think Ellen could do anything wrong. I love her and I loved her book especially since I listened to her audio book that she narrated. If you would like to read my full review go here.
Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas
Last but not least we have the newest addition to the Throne of Glass series. Though I had some issues with certain aspects of this book I still really loved it. We did a group discussion on this book. You can check it out here.
