Ruler of Books Tag

What if I had authority over all books? Find out what I would do with that power. I don’t know if I would want the pressure of being ruler of books. However, if I was ruler this is how it would be. Found on inkedinpages‘s blog!

If you were the Ruler of Books…

What book would you make everyone read?

Mistborn by Brandon Sanderson. I’m slowly making everyone around me read this book. Eventually that will cause a ripple effect right?

What would you abolish in book construction?

Characters who are static and have no real deep role in the novel.

What author would you commission to write you any book?

Pierce Brown. He’s my guy.

What book would you demote to the library basement to make room for new books?

After this week? Vinegar Girls by Anne Tyler. I wrote a review about it here if you want to check it out.

What cover artist would you commission to make a mural?

Any of the designers of V. E. Schwab books

What characters face would you put on a coin?

I think at this point the Harry Potter characters deserve this honor.

What book would you award the “Ruler of Books” 2016 Prize to?

A Court of Mist and Fury by Sarah J Maas. Any doubt I had for this series was totally erased by this beauty of a book. It is incredible.

    1. My boyfriend is always trying to get me to read Brandon Sanderson books. He has them all, and his brother has a bunch of special edition signed copies- it’s crazy! I’ve read two chapters of Elantris but am a bit intimidated by the sheer amount of books in Sanderson’s collection. Where is it best to start with Sanderson’s books?

      1. I think the best book to start with Mistborn and then move through the rest of the original Mistborn trilogy. Like you said he has a lot of books for Mistborn, so the best way to start is to just start with the trilogy and if you like it then move into the spinoffs.
