Fall Activities Book Tag

It’s actually cold in Florida right now so I felt this tag would be appropriate.

I’m currently reading Wolf by Wolf by Ryan Graudin and will have a review up for it on Friday so keep an eye out. Also, we’re preparing for YALLfest, so if you’re going to be there let us know and we can meet up!

Now, to the good stuff.

This tag was found on

Apple Picking

A book on your TBR that looks so delicious you can’t wait to take a bite out of it.

Firefight by Brandon Sanderson takes this honor. I’ve been eager to read it since I finished Steelheart, I just haven’t had a chance to read it.

Corn Maze

A book that’s so much fun to get lost in.

Jesus, I’m like a broken record. Definitely A Court of Mist and Fury. It’s easy to forget where you are and when you make it to the end you’re amazed that it’s actually over.

Haunted Houses

A book that scared you silly.

I think people think I’m weird when I say this but The Raven Boys seriously creeped me out. I just remember sitting in my tiny apartment in Virginia thinking that it was haunted while reading it.

Pumpkin Patch

The latest book you picked up (purchased).

My True Love Gave to Me. Jenn, Caitlynn and I are reading it for a Christmas discussion.

Scenic Drives

A book that is lyrically beautiful.

All of the Shatter Me series. Tahereh Mafi is just such a beautiful writer.

Pumpkin Carving

A book you didn’t like and wouldn’t mind carving up.

Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake. This is mostly because I had such high hopes for the book.

Drinking Apple Cider

A sweet book to curl up under the covers with.

Looking for Alaska by John Green. I’m not sure why but this book is one that I always remember laying in bed and just reading nonstop.

Jumping in a Leaf Pile

A book that reminds you of your childhood.

My Side of the Mountain. I read it when I was in 5th grade and was convinced that as long as I could learn to whittle I would be able to live in the woods with a pet falcon. This, obviously, is not actually something that would happen, but I liked to think I could do it.

Scary Movie Night

Your favourite spooky read.

I’m not entirely sure that I’ve ever really read a “spooky” book. I am however reading Silence of the Lambs for the discussion this week so there’s that.

Bonus! Costume Party

A book with an eclectic cast of characters.

Six of Crows and Crooked Kingdom of course. I think these are my favorite ensemble books yet.

  1. These are all great! I’ve read a good number of these this year, so it was fun to see that you’ve been thinking about them too. (Wolf by Wolf is a real trip, I hope you like it!) Also, lots of love for My Side of the Mountain. I saw a copy in a used bookstore the other day and just had to get it.
