It’s the day after Thanksgiving and I’m still in somewhat of a food coma so today I’m posting a book tag.
But, a note before we move to the book tag. I just want to remind everyone that if you haven’t signed up to participate in Uppercases Holiday Greeting Card swap there’s still time! I’m participating and really eager to my letter.
If you haven’t heard/don’t remember, I did a post on it here.
Now! The Book Cake Tag!
Found on Spines and Cover!
BOOK CAKE TAG: THE INGREDIENTS
Flour – A book that was slow in the beginning, but then really picked up.
I think this goes to Lady Midnight. It took me a bit to get invested into the book, but once it got moving I was hooked.
Butter or Margarine – A book that has a really good rich plot.
I think ACOTAR has to take this. The growth from the first to the second in plot development was impressive.
Eggs – A book you thought you weren’t going to like but ended up loving.
I was unsure of Illuminae simply because the set up of the book was a bit daunting.
Sweet – A super sweet book.
This has to be Morning Star. I don’t know why but that ending was just the sweetest.
Icing – A book that covers everything you enjoy in a book (sad, funny, action,…etc.)
The Shades of Magic series. V.E. Schwabs balance of humor, action and raw angst is everything.
Sprinkles – A book that you can turn to to make you feel better.
A Study in Charlotte is this book for sure.
Cherry on Top – The best book you’ve read so far this year.
I no longer know how to answer this question as there have been so many amazing books. I’m going to say ACOMAF again simply because that leap from the first book to the second book was so astounding.
