Top Ten…Sunday?

Ok, so the way things work over here at Thrice Read is that between the three of us, we split up the days of the week and each post on the days of the week that we chose. With that said, I always post on Sunday’s and Monday’s so I never get a chance to do the fun Top Ten activities that always falls on a Tuesday or Thursday. So I’m breaking the rules! I’m doing a top ten post on a Sunday and you know what, I like it!

Top Ten Sunday: Highly Anticipated Books in 2017

Now, I already know I’m going to have a book buying problem with all of these fantastic releases in 2017 and I am so pumped! I’m really hoping 2017 is going to be a great year for me, but without further ado here is my list! I’m going to do this list from bottom to top and I’m taking all of the release dates from Amazon, so if you know of a different release date just shoot me a comment below and I’ll update my post! (Note: I am only posting books that have a release date and a title for 2017.)

10. Lord of Shadows by Cassandra Clare

30312891

Release Date: May 23

Ok, so Lady Midnight was my first ever Clare novel and I have a feeling I’m going to try to finish this series of hers. While Lady Midnight wasn’t my most favorite book of 2016, I’m still going to give the series a chance.

9. Strange the Dreamer by Laini Taylor

28145767

Release Date: March 28

I haven’t had a chance to read any of Taylor’s work yet, but I haven’t heard anything except for great things about her work so I’m super excited for this release.

8. A Conjuring of Light by V.E. Schwab

29939230

Release Date: February 21

Let me be honest and say that I haven’t read any of the other books in the Shades of Magic series (which is why this is so low on my list) but I am so excited to read them! I definitely plan to in the near future, especially with ACOL coming out soon.

7. Carve the Mark by Veronica Roth

30117284

Release Date: January 17

This book has a lot of flack on it right now, but I’m still excited to get my hands on this book. I have pretty high hopes for it!

6. Now I Rise by Kiersten White

22817331

Release Date: June 27

Holy crap, if you haven’t read And I Darken, you are definitely missing out. This is the second book of The Conquerer’s Saga and I’m so ready for more of White’s work!

5. Our Dark Duet by Victoria Schwab

32075662

Release Date: June 13

Oops… Another Schwab book! This Savage Song was my first Schwab book and I’m so excited to continue with the Monsters of Verity story!

4. Always and Forever, Lara Jean by Jenny Han

30312860

Release Date: May 2

To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before is easily one of my favorite contemporary series out there right now and I’m so happy Han decided to continue with Lara Jean’s story!

3. Flame in the Mist by Renee Ahdieh

23308087

Release Date: May 16

Let me list thy ways my love runs deep for Renee Ahdieh. The Wrath and the Dawn was easily one of my favorite reads this year and I can’t wait to see what she has to offer for her new series.

2. Windwitch by Susan Dennard

29939390

Release Date: January 10

loved Truthwitch and I cannot wait to continue the Witchlands series, also Susan Dennard is hella’ awesome.

1. A Court of Wings and Ruin by Sarah J. Maas

23766634

Release Date: May 2

I mean, come on. What else would you expect from me?

So what about you? What are your most anticipated new releases for 2017?

  2. I’m so excited for so many of these! Lord of Shadows and ACOWAR will no doubt be AMAZING! This Savage Song was my first Schwab book as well. I thought I was so behind, but I guess not.

    1. Haha, I definitely wouldn’t count on me to keep you up! Between me liking to have a second book to jump right into and being constantly late to the game in all manners I’m never caught up with series! Haha, at least I will never have to worry about my TBR running low! 😉
