I found this super cute book tag over on Marie’s Library
The original creator is Lena!
HERE ARE THE RULES:
- You must be honest
- You can’t not answer a question
- You have to tag at least four people
Which book has been on your shelves the longest?
Definitely The Darkest Minds by Alexandra Bracken. I’ve been meaning to just pick these up and read them, but I’ve read so many YA fantasy books recently that I was feeling more into contemporary than another fantasy series. I do think that I am finally getting out of that and am ready to pick it up!
What is your current read, your last read and the book you’ll read next?
Currently reading: My True Love Gave To Me by Various Authors, Clockwork Angel by Cassandra Clare, and Gilded Cage by Vic James
Last read: The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon
Next read: P.S. I Like You by Kasie West and hopefully The Martian by Andy Weir
What book did everyone like, but you hated?
All the Bright Places by Jennifer Niven.
What book do you keep telling yourself you’ll read, but you probably won’t.
I don’t like this question because I like to live in a world of bliss where I believe I will read all of the books that I want to… but I must say it’ll probably the last two published books of Game of Thrones…
Which book are you saving for retirement?
Apparently all of them… what was I thinking only requesting books for Christmas, when do I think I’m going to have time to read all of these.
Last page: read it first or wait till the end?
Definitely wait until the end! I didn’t know people even did that!
Acknowledgements : waste of paper and ink or interesting aside?
No way is it a waste of ink! Acknowledgements give such an amazing insight into the work that went in behind the scenes of this beautiful creation of a book! I love reading them!
Which book character would you switch places with?
This is a very difficult question because if I replaced any book character it would be so boring and I would probably die and that book would be horrendous!
Do you have a book that reminds you of something specific in your life (a person , a place , a time)?
Definitely all of the Harry Potter books! I feel like I can remember exactly when I first read them and how I was feeling at all of those times.
Name a book that you acquired in an interesting way.
I have a couple random books from Book Outlet that were added into my order randomly… I also have a couple ARCs that I won through trivia games at my local bookstore during events.
Have you ever given away book for a special reason to a special person?
I mean, I’ve gifted books to people. I’m pretty stingy with my books so I’ll just buy that person their own copy.
Which book has been with you the most places?
Definitely The Dream Thieves by Maggie Stiefvater. It took me much longer to read it than I wanted to so it was in my purse for much longer than expected. It worked out well because it was the only Stiefvater book that I managed to bring with me to YALLfest to get signed because I forgot and am a terrible person!
Any “required reading” you hated in high school that wasn’t so bad two years later?
Can I say 1984? I loved it when it was a required reading in school and I still love it to this day. Also A Thousand Splendid Suns
What is the strangest item you’ve found in a book?
I buy lots of used books, so recently I actually found a doctor’s appointment reminder form for the last owner of the book from 2004… I guess the book hasn’t been opened in a while…
Used or brand new?
Either or, honestly. I’m all about saving money when I can get a chance so if I can find a used book in decent condition and save money I’m all for it.
Have you ever read a Dan Brown book?
No. I would say that it’s on my list, but I would be lying.
Have you ever seen a movie you liked more than the book?
I don’t think so… There are plenty of movies that were pretty close or on par with the book!
A book that should have NEVER been published
I don’t like this question because a lot of people worked really hard for books to make it out into the world… I’m going to change the question to “A book that should have major rewrites (and maybe a totally new premise)” and I’m going to go with The Glittering Court because man was that not my favorite book…
Have you ever read a book that’s made you hungry, cookbooks excluded?
All the time.
Who is the person whose book advice you’ll always take?
Eden and Jenn are my go-to’s! But I put a lot of faith and trust into Goodreads reviews!
I’m going to tag anyone who wants to do this book tag, which may or may not be more than 4 people, but who knows! I’m a rebel without a cause… what can I say?
