It’s two days until Christmas and we’ve put up three reviews this week so I figured it would be nice to do a book tag.
This tag was originally created by Sam from Thoughts on Tomes.
Do keep an eye out on our My True Love Gave To Me discussion for tomorrow. It’s holiday themed and it’s a change of pace as it’s a bunch of short stories rather than a single story.
Now, for the Grinch Book Tag:
Half of the lights on the Christmas tree are burnt out – Name a book/series/character that started out well and then went downhill.
The Reckoners series is probably my best option here. It’s not that it went downhill per se it’s more that I felt the ending was rushed and not as well crafted as the rest of the series.
Annoying relatives won’t leave you alone – Name a book that you did not enjoy but everyone else seems to love, and it will not stop haunting you.
Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake. The premise of the book was good and I think the characters and plot are interesting enough, but I just couldn’t get into it.
Your pets keep knocking over your Christmas decorations – Name a character that kept on messing everything up for everyone.
Chaol from the Throne of Glass series. I know how much people love this character but he drives me nuts. He’s always making things harder for Celaena when she’s scheming and he’s just always in the way.
You hear your parents putting presents out and learn that Father Christmas is not real – Name a book you were spoiled for.
Oh man. Definitely Empire of Storms by Sarah J. Maas. Before the book was even released people started tweeting and posting spoilers about the ending. I’ll never forget that fateful evening when I was scrolling through twitter and had the ending spoiled for me.
It’s freezing outside – Name a character you just couldn’t warm to.
Emma Carstairs from Lady Midnight. I just wasn’t a massive fan of the character, but the book was really good!
Mariah Carey’s ‘All I Want For Christmas Is You’ is being played a lot on the radio, giving you anti-romantic feelings – Name a couple that you just could not stand.
Hahaha. Um, well, a lot actually. But let’s go with my No. 1 — America Singer and Maxon from The Selection. To be fair, I don’t like this book/series as is. But I just really despised this relationship.
