The Makeup Book Tag

If you know me then you know I have a love for makeup. I love finding and trying new products. Also, I have an unhealthy obsession with watching makeup guru’s videos on YouTube. So, when I found this tag on Keira’s blog I figured I should try it.

Primer- Pick a book that left a lasting impression on you.

To Kill a Mockingbird by Harper Lee. I read this book twice in high school because it was assigned. It’s just a book that I continuously think about and recommend to people. If you haven’t read it go out and do it now!

Concealer- Pick a character you wish didn’t exist.

I don’t think there’s a character that I wish didn’t exist. I feel like even if I’m not a huge fan of a character they have a purpose and propel the story in some way.

Foundation- A favourite first book in a series.

Red Rising by Pierce  Brown, the first book in the Red Rising series came out swinging. It hit me in a way that not many first books do.

Powder- Pick your favourite last book in a series.

Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo. This book was the perfect end to a duology. It developed the story but kept it organic feeling. Seriously, this book is so freaking good.

Eyebrows- Pick a book you think everyone should read.

The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon was a book that I did not expect to love. But, it totally won me over. Check out my review here.

Eye shadow- Pick a book with you favourite colours on the front.

Illuminae by Jay Kristoff and Amie Kaufman. My favorite color is orange so this was not a difficult choice for me.

Eyeliner- Pick a dark and mysterious book.

A Madness So Discreet by Mindy McGinnis. This book marries mystery and darkness in a beautiful and intriguing book.

Mascara- Pick a long book.

Winter by Marissa Meyer was the longest book I read last year with 823 pages. I can’t believe it was that long because I flew through it. But, that’s what Goodreads tells me.

Blush- Pick a book with a cringe worthy romance.

Honestly, I’d have to choose Anna and the French Kiss by Stephanie Perkins. This book makes me cringe just from sweetness overload. But, I completely adore it.

Highlighter- Pick a book that brightens your day.

Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi is an adorable tale that can put me in a great mood. There’s just something about this world and Mafi’s storytelling that makes me very happy.

Lipstick- Your favourite book kiss.

Ugh, this one is so difficult. I’m going to leave names out of it but I’ve got to say THE KISS in the Raven Cycle by Maggie Stiefvater. You know the one.
