Bookish Courtship Tag

I’m working on finishing A Man Called Ove today, so I should have a review of that amazing book for you guys tomorrow! In the meantime, that means another book tag for you lovely people and I came across this tag over at Sydney’s blog, check out her post here.

Questions: Phase 1 – Initial Attraction: A book that you bought because of the cover?

And I Darken is forever my go-to for this question. I seriously love the simplicity of the cover and it really just made such an impression on me. I love it.

Phase 2 – First Impressions: A book that you got because of the summary

This one is going to A Gentleman in Moscow. I’m such a fan of super popular books and I was curious about this book but didn’t want to pick it up because it seemed too adult fiction-y for me but after I read the synopsis I grabbed it right up!

Phase 3 – Sweet Talk: A book with great writing

ANYTHING BY MINDY MCGINNIS. Seriously you guys, pick up one of her books.

Phase 4 – First Date: A first book of a series which made you want to pursue the rest of the series

The Raven Boys! I didn’t instantly fall in love with the first book until closer to the end of the book and then I was enamored and had to read the rest!

Phase 5 – Late night phone calls: A book that kept you up all night long

The Star-Touched Queen. I flew through that book and I love getting a whole book read in one sitting.

Phase 6 – Always on my mind: A book that you could not stop thinking about

The Wrath & the Dawn. It was such a powerful book with fantastic story-telling that really stuck with me.

The Wrath and the Dawn - Renee Ahdieh

Phase 7 – Getting Physical: A book in which you love the way it feels

The Sun is Also a Star. That book gave me all the feels and it is so important in today’s world to see a book like this!

Phase 8 – Meeting the Parents: A book in which you would recommend to your friends and family

Ugh, so many I’ve recommended so many books to my dad already. I’ll have to go with Six of Crows though because it’s my go-to recommendation for most of my loved ones.

Six of Crows - Leigh Bardugo

Phase 9 – Thinking about the future: A book or series that you know you’ll re-read many times in the future

I’ll have to go with my most re-read series already and all the books aren’t even out yet… A Court of Thorns and Roses. I mean, for real…

Phase 10 – Share the love!!! Who would you like to tag?

Everyone who wants to do this tag! 🙂

    1. Girl! Get on it!!! Haha, it really made me appreciate ACOTAR more after reading ACOMAF. So good! I can definitely see not being able to get into Star-Touched, it was a lot different than our normal reads!
