I’m going to be honest guys. This has not been the best reading month for me this year. I lost some of my lead on my Goodreads goal so that kind of stinks. Overall, I read 7 books in the month of March. So, it was not a horrible reading month at all. I was just hoping to keep ahead of my GR goal. This month I read:
- The Diabolic by S.J. Kincaid
- I gave this book a 4.5/5 stars. We will be discussing this book soon so keep an eye out for that!
- Outlander by Diana Gabaldon
- 3/5 stars. I think this book is why I didn’t read as much as I wanted to in the month of March. It was definitely a long book that I fell into a kind of slump after reading. I enjoyed it but had some issues with it. Check out my review here.
- Caraval by Stephanie Garber
- 5/5 stars. I loved this book. It was a book club selection that I completely adored. You can check out the discussion here.
- American Street by Ibi Zoboi:
- 5/5 stars. This book is amazing. I loved everything about it. The narrative that Zoboi crafted with this book was intricate and realistic. This was another book club selection. You can check out the discussion here.
- Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver:
- 1/5 stars. This book was a DNF for me. I got about 3/4 through this book. But, I just did not enjoy the characters or the storyline. This book was not for me.
- A Long Walk to Water by Linda Sue Park:
- 5/5 stars. This was a book I read with my 6th grade Language Arts students. I loved it and they loved it too. It’s short but deep and meaningful. I would definitely recommend for adults and children to read it.
- A Gathering of Shadows by V.E. Schwab:
- 5/5 Stars. Schwab is the queen of fantasy in my opinion. The grey area (quite literally in this book) between good and evil she likes to write in is all encompassing and intriguing. I can’t wait to read A Conjuring of Light because this book was amazing. Check out my review here.
