Top Ten Sunday: Auto-Buy Authors

So I’m wanting to do more things besides just book tags for you guys since I currently have no time to read any extra books right at the moment. I’ve decided to look through the The Broke and the Bookish’s Top Ten archives to find some interesting top ten categories to do and I came across top ten auto-buy authors.

Let me tell you, I was sitting there thinking, “I’m not sure if I have ten authors that I can think of that are auto-buys for me…” and then I realized how stupid that was, of course I can think of ten, probably twenty auto-buy authors for me. (This is why I don’t have any money, people.)

This is honestly not in any particular order, I can’t rank these people first to last by any means.

10. V.E. Schwab

Schwab’s writing really is very haunting and beautiful. Her stories have the most insane monsters that she has brought to life. This Savage Song was my first novel by her and I can’t wait to start the Shades of Magic series.

9. Sabaa Tahir

Ugh, An Ember in the Ashes was such a killer book and so was A Torch Against the Night.

8. Mindy McGinnis

The Female of the Species and A Madness so Discreet were incredible books and McGinnis’ writing style is such a blast to read so I’ll read anything written by her!

7. Stephanie Garber

We just recently finished Caraval and it was such a great read, I’m excited to see what else Garber has in her and will definitely be buying her next book.

6. Susan Dennard

Truthwitch was one of my top ten favorite books from last year and I can’t wait to dig into Windwitch once I have the time to properly read and appreciate it.

5. Leigh Bardugo

There’s a reason this woman has such a huge fan-base. Her stories really encompass everything that I want/need in a good book. If you haven’t read Six of Crows yet, please do yourself a favor and check it out!

4. Tahereh Mafi

Mafi’s writing style is beautiful, she really knows how to bring a world to life especially Furthermore.

3. Sarah J. Maas

I mean, what auto-buy list would be complete without her on it?

2. Renee Ahdieh

The Wrath and the Dawn was my favorite books last year and I wasn’t even expecting it to be. Ahdieh really brings a story to life and her stories within stories and the best I’ve ever read. A Flame in the Mist was my first pre-order for 2017.

1. Pierce Brown

You guys have no idea how excited we all were over here on Thrice Read when we found out about Iron Gold. Just, yes.
