Top Five Monday – Books I Loved With Less Than 5,000 Goodreads Reviews

So I’ve come to find out that I love lesser known books as much as I love those super hyped books. I saw the Broke and Bookish’s top ten tag of books I enjoyed with less than 2,000 reviews on Goodreads and I had to up the ante because why not?

These books are really something special to me and I hope you get the chance to pick any of them up, because I highly recommend all of them.

5. American Street by Ibi Zoboi

4. Last Seen Leaving by Caleb Roehrig

3. Gilded Cage by Vic James

2. A Madness So Discreet by Mindy McGinnis

1. My Sister Rosa by Justine Larbalestier

What books are some of your favorites that have less than 5,000 ratings on Goodreads? I didn’t realize that these books had less than 5,000 until I did this tag.

  1. Nice! American Street & Gilded Cage were both GREAT reads, anxiously anticipating book 2 from Vic James. I would love to see more from Ibi Zoboi after American Street, her voice def stayed with me after reading the last page 😉

  2. Wide Sargasso Sea is one that I always recommend to people, especially since it’s not a very famous modern classic. It’s a prequel to Charlotte Bronte’s Jane Eyre, but from the point of view of Rochester’s mad wife. So good and so powerful. I always love me a good post colonial text.
