Blogger Stats Book Tag

It seems like Tuesdays always end up being a tag day for me. I’m trying to finish Simon vs. The Homo Sapiens Agenda so that you guys can see my review on Thursday. But, life and if I’m honest Bones has gotten in the way. So, I wanted to do a post giving you a little more insight to my thoughts and experiences on our blog. I found this tag on Always Trust In Books’ blog. Go check out his post here. It’s a lot of fun.

The Questions!

The last three books you read?

234382882715883516248113

I have done a review for both Flawed and You Know Me Well and we did a discussion on The School for Good and Evil.

Spoilers or spoiler free?

Spoiler free for sure. I am so worried about going into a book with some sort of expectations that I try to wait until I’ve completely forgotten the synopsis. Yes, I am that crazy.

How long have you been book blogging?

We are almost at our 1 year anniversary for Thrice Read which is completely insane!

A book you read in one sitting?

Blood for Blood by Ryan Graudin was a book that I just could not put down. I devoured that book. If you want to check out my review you can find it here.

Your favourite genre?

This definitely depends on my mood. However, I am typically drawn to Fantasy or Sci-fi.

Preferred book size? (novella, tome…etc)

This is another thing that depends on my mood. I love a really written quick read. But, you just can’t beat a meaty 600 page book.

Amount of books on your TBR?

…I know I have a problem. Seriously, I don’t even know at this point.

A book you have DNF’d?

Before I Fall  by Lauren Oliver. I could not get into this book and I really despised the characters.

Recent awards or milestones?

We just passed 1,400 followers which is something that seemed impossible about a year ago.

Best interaction with an author you enjoy?

Definitely chatting with Susan Dennard and her parents. They are awesome people and we got to have a full conversation with them about our home town. Also, Susan Dennard is amazing and she has amazing parents. It was just so cool.

Average number of books you read per month?

This year I’ve read about 6/7 books a month. I would like to up that number, but that’s probably going to have to wait until summer. One can dream right?

Top three publishers?

This is an almost impossible question. Tor, Bloomsbury, and Harper Collins (Katherine Tegen Books) are three that I often find myself reading books from.

Social media sites your blog uses?

We use Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook. If you haven’t added us we are ThriceRead everywhere!

Average amount of time you spend networking?

Probably about 3 hours a day. Lately life has gotten in the way. But, we try to make sure we are active in the community.

Most comfortable blogging position?

Either in my bed late at night or at my desk during the day. It just depends on how much I’ve procrastinated.

Music or quiet when writing reviews?

I have a really hard time concentrating with music on.  I wish I could listen to music and read or blog. But, it never works out for me. So, it has to be quiet.

Can you sum up your blogging style in 5 words?

Fun, Friends, Humorous, Curious, and Chill.

A blog you looked up to starting out?

I looked up to a lot of Booktubers when first starting out. I’ve been a really big fan of Katytastic, PeruseProject, and LittleBookOwl.

The best book you have reviewed so far?

I’m going to go with best book I’ve reviewed this year and I would have to say it was either Scythe or Caraval. It’s really hard to choose between them.

Best piece of blogging advice?

Be consistent. Continue with it because it will get easier as time goes on. Get involved in the community and only read books that you want to read. Don’t feel pressured.

What’s your best piece of blogging advice? If you complete this tag make sure to let me know so I can check out your answers!
