Summer Break TBR – Eden

Jenn didn’t have internet connection to put together a post for today, so I’ll be taking over for the day.

Yesterday, I wrote about how close I am to summer and how excited I am for it. However, I did not get into the why (even though it seems really obvious). With summer I’ll have more energy and therefore more time to read as I won’t have to be focused solely on teaching, lesson planning, grading and coming up with witty responses to ridiculous questions.

So, since my summer will be chock full of reading, I’ve been mentally compiling a summer TBR. Here are some of the books I have planned to read:

Traitor to the Throne by Alwyn Hamilton

When Dimple Met Rishi by Sandhya Menon

A Crown of Wishes by Roshani Chokshi

The Shadow Queen by C. J. Redwine

The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon

Wayfarer by Alexandra Bracken

Walk on Earth a Stranger by Rae Carson

Lola and the French Kiss (the whole dang series, most likely)

Given to the Sea by Mindy McGinnis

Strange the Dream by Laini Taylor

Now I Rise by Kiersten White

Our Dark Duet by V. E. Schwab

A Conjuring of Light by V. E. Schwab

I have many more that I want to add, but I’m leaving it at this for now. We’ll see what it looks like come summer. I’m positive it will become significantly longer.

Do you have a summer reading list? What books are you looking to read?

  1. I’ve heard from so many people that Anna and the French Kiss is great, fun book, especially for a summer read, so I may have to give that one a try this summer. Otherwise…I made the mistake of posting on Facebook to ask my friends for suggestions and got a list of 60 books back, so I need to sort through those to see what looks good for this summer!
