I haven’t done an unboxing post in so long! I figured I would give you guys a look into my favorite book box, FairyLoot. I’ve been so impressed with them that I cancelled all of my other boxes so that I could continue receiving these boxes (plus, it’s a lot more expensive for me since I live in the US and this is a UK box… those shipping charges, tho!)
So… I was so impressed and surprised and excited when I got this box! So many emotions going through me as I opened it! Let’s get started with the April 2017 “Dreams & Wishes” box.
I was immediately shocked when I saw it was a Mindy McGinnis book in the April box. Ok, so if you have read any of my previous posts (or Eden or Jenn’s) we LOVE McGinnis. Her writing style is so unique today and every book that we have read by her has been amazing. Being the terrible book person that I am, I didn’t even know she had a book coming out soon, so imagine my shock when I opened this baby up!
Here’s the synopsis of the book from Goodreads:
Everyone has a place.
Khosa was born to be fed to the sea, to prevent the kind of wave that once destroyed the Kingdom of Stille. She can’t be sacrificed until she produces an heir, but human touch repulses her…except for the touch of the Indiri.
Dara and Donil are the last of the Indiri, a native race with magic that’s seductive—a force of nature—but dwindling since the Pietra slaughtered their people.
Witt leads the Pietra, the fierce warriors who are now marching on the Kingdom of Stille. The stone shores of Witt’s kingdom harbor a secret threat, and to ensure the survival of his people, he’s prepared to conquer every speck of Stille’s soil.
Vincent stands to inherit the throne of Stille, but has no wife to share it with. When the beautiful and mysterious Khosa arrives without an heir, Vincent knows that his father will stop at nothing to make sure she fulfills her duty. Torn between protecting his kingdom and protecting the girl whose fate is tied to its very existence, Vincent’s loyalty is soon at odds with his heart.
While royals scheme, Pietrans march, and the Indiri struggle to survive, the rising sea calls for its Given, and Khosa is destined to answer.
Next up, we have a beautiful ACOMAF quote mug by Risa Rodil. I love ACOMAF and I’m game for any bookish and nonbookish product that has to do with that whole series!
We also received this adorable Gemstone notebook by Portico. I could have taken so many pictures of just this notebook because it’s so beautiful. It has foil detailing and gilt edges and it’s just amazing. Even though I’m a November baby, this is the August birthstone, but I ain’t even mad!
Oh how I love these three items. So to begin, I’m a sucker for magnets of any kind. I was super sad when I got a new fridge for my house (stainless steel) and the magnets no longer worked on the front of the fridge, just the side! So I’ll have to find another source to place all my gorgeous magnets, like this one brought to us exclusively from FairyLoot!
Next up is something everyone loves, candles! This Reverie Candle by Meraki Candles smells so good! It’s description is mint, marshmallows, and candy floss and I am here for it!
Then this enamel pin by House of Wonderland is my favorite! I love the Dream Jar pin so much and I can’t wait to make my way to Harry Potter world to get a Hufflepuff lanyard so that I have somewhere to put all the amazing pins that I have.
Last, but certainly not least, is the Little Dreamer Tote bag by Miss Phi. Like all book lovers, I love a good book related tote bag, and seriously who can have too many?!
