Books I’ll Probably Never Read Tag

I grabbed this tag off of Lia’s post over at Lost in a Story, be sure to check out her post here!

Happy Memorial Day to everyone in the US and thank you to all of our service men and women.

The Questions

1. A really hyped book you’re not interested in reading?

The Mortal Instruments series by Cassandra Clare. I’ve heard many of things about that series and I think I’ll stick to the Infernal Devices and Dark Artifices series for now.

2. A series you won’t start/won’t be finishing?

Probably The Winner’s Trilogy by Marie Rutkoski… I finished the first two books of the series, but it really didn’t hold on to me as much as I was hoping for. Maybe in the far, far future I’ll give the whole series another shot.

3. A classic that you’re just not interested in?

Can I just go ahead and say all of them??? I’m so not a classics person, especially if it’s in the Victorian dialect… Pride and Prejudice is probably my top pick for this though.

4. Any genres you never read?

My current genre realm isn’t that large to begin with, so I’m sure that there are plenty of genres that I don’t even know about out there. I particularly don’t care for autobiographies… I’m not sure what it is but I just never enjoy them as much as I hope to.

5. A book on your shelves you’ll probably never actually read?

Probably A Fierce and Subtle Poison by Samantha Mabry. It was 100% a cover buy and once I read the synopsis later on it totally didn’t appeal to me. But who knows, I might just pick it up one day and love it (which is why more often then not I do not read synopses for books).

So that’s it! Nice quick tag, are any of my answers similar to what you would have picked? Let me know!

  1. I think skipping The Mortal Instruments might be a good idea! I liked the books back when I was fifteen or something but not so much anymore. The Infernal Devices is much better! I own the first book from The Winner’s Curse, but I haven’t read it, and one of the only reasons it is still on my tbr is because I own it :/
    I loved your answers!

  2. I can agree with TMI. I LOVE TID and TDA (from what I’ve read of it). TMI was good, but it was really hit or miss with me; there were about two books in the series that I loved, and even then I wasn’t as emotionally invested as I am with the other two series. I don’t know why, I simply am getting more into TID and TDA.
