Today’s top five Wednesday comes to you from a slightly hazy Eden as I’m currently writing this post post-wisdom tooth removal.
This week’s top five deals with my favorite side ships. This is basically any relationship that doesn’t involve the protagonist.
As a heads up, these are characters that I’ve shipped. It doesn’t necessarily they got together with that characters or that anything ever came of these relationships, just that it was what I, personally, wanted from these character interactions.
With that, enjoy!
1. Amren and Varian (A Court of Thorns and Roses)
I mean, if you read the second book of the ACOTAR series then how can you not ship these two? Both are so sassy and guarded. I absolutely love it/them.
2. Megan and her guns (The Reckoners series)
This is mostly a joke, but really though I don’t know that I’ve ever read a character that loves her pistols more than Brandon Sanderson’s character, Megan, from the Reckoners series.
3. Rhy and Alucard (A Darker Shade of Magic series)
They are so pretty and cute together. I can’t not love them. Mostly because the snark is real with this ship and also because more than anything I want to see this ship set sail in the third book. (Yes, I know, I MUST read it immediately).
4. Adam and Ronan (The Raven Cycle)
Ronan is everything in The Raven Cycle and it only makes sense that I would want him to pair up with the beautiful, adorable baby that is Adam. There is no other option. They were end goal for me.
5. The Grey Man and Maura (The Raven Cycle)
Maggie Stiefvater really knows how to create characters that I want to force together. Maura and the Grey Man were the best. I can’t currently remember his name or if it was ever even actually revealed, but I’m just going to chalk it up to the pain meds and let it be.
That’s it for this Wednesday. What did you think? Agree? Disagree? Who would you choose?
