Caraval Book Tag

After just finishing the amazing book Strange the Dreamer, it made me reminisce the other amazing books that we have already read this year and Caraval was definitely one of them!

When I originally ran across Beatrice’s blog, When Curiosity Killed the Cat, I loved it immediately. It’s a beautiful blog and this book tag was done beautifully as well. So I couldn’t wait to do this tag. Check out her original post, here!

Invitation Letter | A Book Release That You Have Waited Patiently For For A Very Long Time

I feel like I was anticipating Strange the Dreamer for forever! It was definitely worth the wait and the hype and now I’m so excited for the second book.

Scarlett Dragna | Who Is Your Favorite Book Sibling

Definitely Kitty from the Lara Jean series by Jenny Han. She is such a character in all senses of the word and I absolutely loved her in Han’s third installment of the series.

Julian Marrero | A Character That You’d Like To Tag Along In A Magical Escapade

Blue Lily from The Raven Boys. I feel like she really helps me see things that I wouldn’t necessarily notice.

The Mood Changing Dress | What Is One Book That Really Toyed With Your Feelings

I’m going with The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas for this one, my emotions were all over the place when I read that book.

Carousel of Roses | A Book That Is Too Beautiful, It Hurts

It took me a bit to sift through my books and try to come up with an answer to this question, but I kept coming back to Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys. That book truly was beautiful.

Castillo Maldito | A Book That Made You Lose Track Of Time

The Martian by Andy Weir. Even though the book was tracked in time (days) it definitely made me lose track of my time.

A Heart Made of Black | A Book Or Character That Has Given You Trust Issues

Definitely 100% The Glittering Court. This book, man. We were not expecting a frontier novel at all…

Burnt Sugar Cider | A Book That Has A Monochromatic Start But Is Still Worth It In The End

I think I want to go with A Darker Shade of Magic by V.E. Schwab… And I totally wanted to make the monochromatic joke since the London’s are categorized by colors… But it took me a few chapters to finally delve into the book, which was obviously well worth it in the end.

Donatella Dragna | A Character That Has The Most Unexpected Turn

Agatha from The School of Good & Evil by Somani Chainani. That story was such a fun one and Agatha quickly became one of my favorite characters.

Also, the most unexpected turn of events award would have to go to Lazlo from Strange the Dreamer as well, but I can’t make all my answers about this amazing book.

The Caraval | A Magical Place Where Dreams And Wishes Do Come True

I have to agree with Beatrice on this one and go with Velaris, who wouldn’t want to live there.

So that’s it guys, this tag was so fun and the questions are so unique, I loved it! Please feel free to do this tag and make sure you check out Beatrice’s blog as well.

  1. So many good selections up there. Ah, Kitty, how I love her. Maybe there is hope for a Kitty spin-off. Strange the Dreamer was a long wait. I remember being at BEA last year, and hearing the ARC wasn’t dropping, and then it was delayed and delayed, but from what I heard, it was worth the wait. I have to admit, I chuckled, because I was NOT expecting the setting we got in the Glittering Court either (I however, did enjoy the book very much). Great picks!

    1. Sam! I would love to see more Kitty but I’m not so sure Han is up for anymore of the Lara Jean world, we shall see though! I totally understand why the ARC of Strange took so long and I’m glad that Taylor made the decision to change the book from what it would have been. I didn’t enjoy The Glittering Court too much, but I’m definitely giving Midnight Jewel a chance though.

  2. Awesome answers! I 100% agree with your answer regarding The Hate U Give! I spent half my time laughing and half the time crying! It was definitely a rollercoaster! And also agree with your last answer Velaris would be amazing!

And it sounds like you loved Strange The Dreamer just as much as I did! 😍
