Thrice Read Mid-Year Update

Good morning everyone!

It’s Eden and I hope everyone is having a wonderful Saturday. We took a break from our typical Saturday book discussion this week because we have a lot of cool things happening in the second half of 2017 and we wanted to share it with you guys!

Enjoy!

YALLFest

We went to YALLFest last year, which is put together by Blue Bicycle Books in Charleston, South Carolina, and had a blast. It was great getting to meet some of our favorite authors while also having the opportunity to see them discuss their craft. After our experience last year, there was no doubt that we would be going to the 2017 YALLFest.

Warcross by Marie Lu release

Look, it’s no secret that we’re very excited for Marie Lu’s Warcross. We’re so excited that we figured we’d add it to this list because once we have the final copy of the novel in our hands, we’re not sure if we’ll be able to put it down until we’ve finished it.

More Bookish Road Trips

Something that Jenn, Caitlynn and I constantly do is try to find new book shops. Yes we love Amazon, Barnes and Noble and Books A Million, but we also love the community that comes with independent book shops. Plus, the aforementioned three don’t need anymore help marketing themselves. Small bookstores can always use the attention.

Caitlynn is officially a teacher

This has nothing to do with Thrice Read future endeavors, but I figured she deserved a shout out because she’s put a lot of time and effort into getting where she is. You go girl. You’re going to do great!

Sarah J. Maas Atlanta Book Signing

We haven’t actually decided on whether we’re doing this event or not, but we’ve been throwing it back and forth for a few weeks now. While we enjoy and appreciate Maas’s books, we also recognize the mayhem that will likely be this signing. We’re leaving this event as TBD.

That’s it for now. I’m sure we’ll be adding more to this list in the next couple of weeks as we see where our schedule begins to fall. Are you going to YALLFest? What about signings?

  1. Congratulations Caitlynn you deserve it. Also I wish I had the option of going to book signings, unfortunately the state I live in, authors rarely come too, I would love to go to a Sarah J. Maas signing sometime.
