Dreamy Book Covers Tag

Covers of books are always intriguing to me. I have definitely been guilty of buying books merely because of the cover. They are our first indicator of what the book might be like. So, when I found this tag on coffeeloving bookoholic’s blog I knew I had to participate.

the rules:

  • thank the person who tagged you

the questions:

1.) “no ideas but in things” – a book cover that perfectly expresses the novel inside it

I feel as though this cover really highlights some of the best aspects of this novel. It includes the eeriness, the children, and the vintage photography.

2.) “dark and lovely” – a cover that is so creepilicious, that you want to eat it up

From the first time I saw this book I knew it was going to be a creepy novel. Looking at the cover it just has an air of foreboding.

3.) “sugary Sweet” – a CUTE cover that is so fluffy, you want to give it a hug

I mean, what is not to love about this cover? The colors are gorgeous and the illustrations are adorable.

4.) “the simple aesthetic” – a book cover that stuns with the most minimalist of designs

Can you get any more minimalistic? I don’t think so.

5.) “cover envy” – a book you wish you had on your shelves, but don’t yet

Okay, so I own the US version of Strange the Dreamer. However, I’m obsessed with this version of the book. It is gorgeous and I want it like crazy.

6.) “traveling abroad” – a beautiful book cover featuring a country outside of your own

This cover is set in Sudan where the book is also set.

7.) “the colour wheel” – a cover that showcases one of your favourite colours

My favorite color is orange so of course my mind went directly to Illuminae. I think it’s gorgeous.

8.) “changing gears” – a cover change you absolutely adore

Okay, the original covers of this series were cool. However, these covers really make these novels look epic. I’m obsessed.

9.) “oldie but goodie” – a favourite cover of your favourite classic

The simplistic nature of this cover just gets to me. I goes perfectly with the story in the pages of the book. I just adore it.

10.) and the winner is – which book cover mentioned above is your favourite

I just could not choose another book. The colors, the typography, and the illustration are all gorgeous. They work together beautifully.

I tag Krysti @ YAandWine.

What’s your favorite book cover?
