The Princess Sidekicks Book Tag

We all know the Disney Princesses are some of our favorites here at Thrice Read. I was looking for a new tag to do today and came across Book Princess Reviews and her tag that she created about the sidekicks. Check out her post here!

Mushu from Mulan & Olaf & Sven from Frozen | The Comic Relief – Name your favorite hilarious character or your favorite comedy/funny book

The Seven Dwarfs from Snow White | Favorite Group/Ensemble

110% the crew from Six of Crows. They were the perfect grouping and I still haven’t found a group better than them yet.

Pascal from Tangled | The loyal cheerleader chameleon (not a frog, Flynn Rider) – Name a book that started out one way but changed for you

My Sister Rosa, I wasn’t too sure about the book when I started it but I quickly fell in love with everything about it!

Meeko from Pocahontas | Pocahontas’s sly and sneaky raccoon friend – Name a plot twist that you did not see coming

The Female of the Species there was so much in that book that I wasn’t expecting and the ending was such a huge plot twist for me.

Rajah from Aladdin & Flounder from The Little Mermaid | Gentle with their princess but protective with everyone else – Name your favorite best friend in a novel

Safi and Isueult from Truthwitch.

Cogsworth, Lumiere, Mrs. Potts, & Chip from Beauty and the Beast | The Musical Bunch – Name a novel where music played a big part or made you want to sing its praises

Definitely This Savage Song. Music plays such a huge role in that book in just the right ways.

Maximus from Tangled | The obstacle in Flynn Rider’s way – Name a character that faces a lot of obstacles

Steelheart by Brandon Sanderson. That world is just filled with obstacles and it was such a fun fantasy book.

Hamish, Hubert, & Harris from Brave | Favorite family dynamics in a novel

P.S. I Like You by Kasie West. Lily’s family reminded me so much of my own, I loved them.

Ray from The Princess and the Frog & 3 Fairies from Sleeping Beauty | The Advice Givers – Book that most impacted your life

Harry Potter or Throne of Glass. Both books got me into reading in different ways. I “didn’t do” fantasy before I read TOG and that totally changed my opinion on it and Harry Potter because it was one of the first series that I ever read.

Hei Hei from Moana | Name a character that steals the show

Shazi from The Wrath & the Dawn in all the best ways.

Gus & Jaq from Cinderella | Opposites Attract – Name your favorite or worst opposite attracts pairing

Adelaide and Cedric from The Glittering Court. There really was nothing fantastic about their pairing…

That’s it everyone! If you liked this tag as much as I did feel free to copy and fill it out yourself!

  1. I love this tag!! I also loved the family dynamic in P.S. I Like You!! I wish there was more of a focus on family dynamics in YA novels (instead of the “dead parent” or “missing parent” tropes that I see way too often)

  2. This has nothing to do with the tag but I am in love with the picture you posted of your shelf! Seeing all that space just excites me lol. I would be so tempted to buy so many books just to fill the shelf!

  3. MY FIRST BABY IN THE WILD. I may cry a bit. XD Thank you so much for doing this! ❤ Your answers were fantastic. I loved the family dynamics in PS I Like You as well. They were so much fun and totally reminded me of so many families I know. And This Savage Song had the coolest incorporation of music that I've ever seen. It was so cool. Wonderful answers, and thanks so much for doing it again! ❤
