Fairy Loot Unboxing – August 2017

Another month, another beautiful Fairy Loot unboxing. This is my favorite post of the month and I hope you guys enjoy it.

The theme for this month was “Otherworlds” which is perfect for fans “of A Court of Mist and Fury, Lord of the Rings, Game of Thrones and Peter Pan.” Of course, all you have to say to me are the six magic words “A Court of Mist and Fury” and I’m already so game for anything that is in the box.

Next month’s theme is one that I am SO EXCITED about… It’s “All that Sass” and I already am in love. September’s theme is perfect for fans of all of our favorite sassy characters… “a certain blue eyed shadowhunter in The Infernal Devices, a certain high warlock in The Mortal Instruments, a blonde haired assassin in Throne of Glass, a green eyed demi-god in Percy Jackson, a sassy prince and captain from The Grisha Trilogy, as well as a couple more sassy characters that we’ll hint to in social media posts… ”

Let’s get going on August’s unboxing now!

Let’s talk about this months book. This would have 100% been a cover buy for me because the cover is gorgeous. Then I read the synopsis and was even more excited to get this book, I cannot wait to read it.

This months book is Wicked Like a Wildfire by Lana Popovic.

Here’s the synopsis:

All the women in Iris and Malina’s family have the unique magical ability or “gleam” to manipulate beauty. Iris sees flowers as fractals and turns her kaleidoscope visions into glasswork, while Malina interprets moods as music. But their mother has strict rules to keep their gifts a secret, even in their secluded sea-side town. Iris and Malina are not allowed to share their magic with anyone, and above all, they are forbidden from falling in love.

But when their mother is mysteriously attacked, the sisters will have to unearth the truth behind the quiet lives their mother has built for them. They will discover a wicked curse that haunts their family line—but will they find that the very magic that bonds them together is destined to tear them apart forever?

Up first is a beautiful necklace created by the one and only Oh Panda Eyes. The necklace features a quote from A Court of Mist and Fury and was exclusively made for this month’s Fairy Loot box.

Next up is an amazing candle from Book and Nook. There were 5 different scents that you could have gotten in this months box, all based on a different character in this months book. I received the witchsoul Azareen, which featured the scents lemon verbena, vanilla, and pear. Trust me when I say this candle smells amazing. I can’t wait to see what other scents went out as well.

This is an item that I have never seen in a book box before and I’m severely disappointed about that. I didn’t realize how badly I needed one of these sleeping masks in my life until I got this beauty. Fairyloot exclusively created this mask for us… and it totally gives me life.

Us book people love our tea! When I saw this Westeros-inspired tea strainer I was instantly in love with it. I love that it’s shaped like a sword and I can’t wait to use it. This was brought to us by Fairyloot as well!

I love magnetic book marks, these Frodo and Sam bookmarks are so freaking adorable. Fairy Loot sent out three different sets of bookmarks and I can’t wait to see the other two. These were created by Paperly and Co.

Check out Paperly and Co’s other products here.

I’m a huge fan of notebooks and this one is so adorable! Created by TJ Lubrano, this Peter Pan notebook cover was hand painted and so so beautiful.

I saw this art print in the box and immediately fell in love with it. The Northern Lights have always fascinated me and this print is just beautiful. I can’t wait to use it around Christmas time. This print was created by Melissa Nettleship.

Check out Melissa Nettleship’s other work here.

Finally, we got some awesome extras in this months box including a Godsgrave sampler, Blackwing sampler and a temporary tattoo.

Seriously, if you are thinking about subscribing to a book box, Fairy Loot is the best that I can recommend. It’s totally worth the international shipping charges, plus more!

What are some of your favorite unboxing posts or book subscription boxes?
