Rapid Fire Book Tag

This past week has been really crazy. That being said I haven’t had a lot of time to read. So, I’m hoping the rest of this week will go back to normal and I will be able to continue reading. In the mean time I thought I’d answer some of your burning questions in the Rapid Fire book tag. I found this tag on Amanda’s blog and thought it was perfect!

1. e-Book or Physical book?

Physical books for sure. However, I also like to have quite a few back-up e-books just in case I’ve forgotten my current read at home.

2. Paperback or Hardback?

Hardcovers for sure. They’re easier for me to hold and They are much more durable.

3. Online or in-store Book Shopping?

Preference-wise I would say in-store book shopping. Unfortunately, at his point I seem to receive more books from online retailers and it’s unfortunate.

4. Trilogies or Series?

Series for sure. Sometimes trilogies just don’t work because they’re trying to make the story fit into 3 book when it just doesn’t work.

5. Heroes or Villians?

Are you kidding? Always villains. They are by far the most interesting characters.

6. A book you want everyone to read?

Six of Crows by Leigh Bardugo. If you haven’t read the series yet you must start now!

7. Recommend an underrated book?

The Thousandth Floor by Katharine McGee. The second book just came out so now would be a perfect time to pick it up!

8. The last book you finished?

The Mime Order  by Samantha Shannon (Book #2 for The Bone Season) I had to look this up on Goodreads. That’s how bad my lack of reading is. I couldn’t remember what my last book read was.

9. The last book you bought?

I believe it was Warcross by Marie Lu. But, as you can see from my previous answer my memory seems to be failing me.

10. Weirdest thing you’ve used as a bookmark?

Probably a Disney magnet. I have them on my metal bookcase so I just pull them off and put them in my book.

11. Used books: yes or no?

Yes. Depending on the condition though.

12. Top three favorite genres?

Fantasy, sci-fi, and historical fiction.

13. Borrow or buy?

Buy. I have control issues.

14. Characters or plot?

Characters for sure. I feel as though I don’t even need a plot if the characters are amazing.

15. Long or short books?

It depends on my mood. If I’m in a reading slump then definitely a short book.

16. Long or short chapters?

It really depends on the book.

17. Name the first three books you think of…

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, The Bone SeasonCaraval.

18. Books that make you laugh or cry?

Cry. I want a book to make me bawl my eyes out.

19. Our world or fictional worlds?

Fictional worlds. Listen any escape from our current world is definitely welcome at the point.

20. Audiobooks: yes or no?

Yes definitely.

21. Do you ever judge a book by it’s cover?

Yes I do all the time. I try not to but let’s be real it’s a definite drawing point.

22. Book to move or book to TV adaptations?

Neither. I’m not a big fan of adaptations.

23. A movie or TV-show you preferred to it’s book?

I don’t think I could name one to be fair.

24. Series or stand alones?

This definitely depends. I love series. But, I’ve become a big fan of standalone recently.
