Twenty Questions Book Tag

Lately I’ve felt mentally exhausted. Between the lull of the second half of the first semester of school and other engagements I’m just tired. YALLFest and NaNoWriMo seems to be taking any and all of my extra energy that I would normally put towards reading. So, I’m a little behind schedule. That means it’s time for a book tag. Because, why not? I found this post over on Propensity to Discuss’s blog and thought it looked interested. I thought I’d try it. This one came from the Readaholics group page on Goodreads.

  1. How many books are too many books in a book series?
    • This is a question that definitely depends on the series. Some epic series have to span multiple books upwards of 7. Other times the book seems to drag with only 2 books.
  2. How do you feel about cliffhangers?
    • Typically I am not a fan of them. They do get me to read the next book. But, it’s frustrating.
  3. Hardcopy or paperback?
    • Definitely hardcover. They are more durable. Plus they just look nicer.
  4. Favorite book?
    • How could you even ask me this? I would say other than the HP series I would probably say Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo. It was the perfect book for me.
  5. Your least favorite book?
    • Definitely Vinegar Girl by Anne Tyler. I just could not handle all of the issues in that book. You can check out my feelings here.
  6. Love triangles, yes or no?
    • No thank you.
  7. The most recent book you just couldn’t finish?
    • I’m pretty good about finishing books once I’ve started them. I think the most recent book I’ve had an issue finishing was Before I Fall by Lauren Oliver. I hated the characters which made it really difficult for me to read.
  8. A book you’re currently reading?
    • Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone (The illustrated edition) by J.K. Rowling!!! I’m so excited to be rereading it.
  9. Last book you recommended to someone?
    • Hmm, I guess it would probably be Words in Deep Blue by Cath Crowley. I keep trying to get Eden and Caitlynn to read it to no avail so far.
  10. The oldest book you’ve read? (Publication date)
    • Yikes. Probably The Canterbury Tales?
  11. The newest book you’ve read? (Publication date)
    • This would probably be Our Dark Duet. I told you guys I’m really behind in my reading.
  12. Favorite author?
    • Currently, my favorite author is Leigh Bardugo. I cannot get enough of her books!
  13. Buying books or borrowing books?
    • I’m a buyer. I would love to be okay with just borrowing. But, I just can’t help but want to collect all of the books.
  14. A book you dislike that everyone else seems to love?
    • Nothing in particular comes to mind.
  15. Bookmarks or dog-ears?
    • Definitely bookmarks no matter if it’s just a receipt. NEVER dog-ear your pages!
  16. A book you can always reread?
    • Harry Potter, of course.
  17. Can you read while hearing music?
    • Only if it’s a song I don’t know the lyrics to or if it’s instrumental.
  18. One POV or multiple POV? (POV’ = Points of view)
    • Usually only one POV. But, I love multiple POVs if they are done really well.
  19. Do you read a book in one sitting or over multiple days?
    • Usually I read them in one day. I like to devour books in one sitting.
  20. One book you read because of the cover.
    • The Problem with Forever. It has a gorgeous cover!

What’s one book that you can always reread?
