We’re less than a week away from Thanksgiving and I’m very excited.
It’s not necessarily that I just love the holiday (but really I do), it’s more that I get an entire week off from work for it.
So, since I’ve got the week off, I’ve been ticking off books that I want to read next week because I’ll finally have the time to sit down and enjoy a book. Recognize that it is, unfortunately, only a week. I won’t have 10 books set to read because I know I won’t have that kind of time.
Geekerella by Ashley Poston
My school librarian heard me talking about how much I wanted to read Geekerella one day. I’ve seen so many wonderful reviews on this book that I really wanted to get my hands on it. Though, true to form, I never have time.
Two days ago she had a student deliver a book to my classroom and cited it as a good thanksgiving read. I’ve very excited.
Whichwood by Tahereh Mafi
Furthermore was one of my favorite reads from last year and when Whichwood came out I was dying to get it and read it. I’m hoping this week gives me an opportunity to read the middle grade novel because I’ve already been waiting a thousand years for it.
Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling
We’re doing a discussion on Sorcerers Stone tomorrow and I’m rather excited to get into the second installment in the Harry Potter series as it’s only the third time I’ve reread the book.
