NaNoWriMo – Jenn’s Log Week 3

We have passed the halfway mark for NaNoWriMo guys! That’s right we are getting down to the nitty gritty. And apparently I’ve lost my mind because I’m using terms like ‘nitty gritty.’ Guys, I’m my own worst enemy and this weeks progress has really proven that.

Day 13 (11/13/17):

  • At the beginning of the week I was determined to keep up with writing about 2,500 words a day to try to catch up. Monday went pretty well. I was able to get 2,407 before I passed out from pure exhaustion after work.
  • Total Word Count: 17,484

Day 14 (11/14/17) – Day 19 (11/19/17):

  • Then, the rest of the week happened. Yep, that’s right. I didn’t write a SINGLE word for 6 DAYS! 6 COMPLETE DAYS! I talked myself into being complacent with it because I knew I would have the week of Thanksgiving off. However, now that it’s the week of Thanksgiving I’m really regretting that decision. Learn from my mistakes write everyday if you can!
  • Total Word Count: 17,484

Day 20 (11/20/17)

  • I’ve felt the pressure this week. to try to catch up on my writing goal. Yesterday I was hopign to write about 5k words. That didn’t turn out working for me. However, I did get about 4,200 words. So, I managed to make a dent in the mountain of writing I still have ahead of me. I’m hoping that if I can make this a trend for the rest of the week I may still be able to catch back up. Writing sprints have really been helping out with this. But, if you have any advice I’d love to hear it!
  • Total Word Count: 21,686
