Bookish Courtship Book Tag

So, this post is coming to y’all super late today… Sorry! Anyways, I grabbed this book tag from Mandy over at Book Princess Reviews, check out her post here. It just looked like a lot of fun, I hope you guys enjoy it.

Phase 1: Initial attraction: a book that you bought because of the cover

Hmm, I might say Language of Thorns by Leigh Bardugo only because I’m not a fan of short-stories, but I also bought it because of well… Leigh Bardugo.

The cover is just so beautiful, too though.

Phase 2: First impressions: a book that you got because of the summary

The School of Good & Evil. I was so intrigued because it had a very Harry Potter-esque feeling to it.

Phase 3: Sweet talk: a book with great writing

Anything by Laini Taylor. Her writing style is a magical being in and of itself.

Phase 4: First date: a first book of a series which made you want to pursue the rest of the series

Throne of Glass. I was hooked after the first book!

Phase 5: Late night phone call: a book that kept you up all night long

The Wrath and the Dawn. Ahdieh’s writing in that book made me not want to put it down.

Phase 6: Always on my mind: a book that you could not stop thinking about

The Diabolic or Scythe. They aren’t really crazy, well-known books but I’m still so in love with them.

Phase 7: Getting physical: a book in which you love the way it feels

This is weird, but I think any book with beveled edges is a go to for me!

Phase 8: Meeting the parents: a book you would recommend to your friends and family

I love recommending books and one of my top go-to’s is Six of Crows.

Phase 9: Think about the future: a book series that you know you’ll re-read many times in the future

Red Rising by Pierce Brown, I cannot wait for the next book in January.

Phase 10: Share the love: who would you like to tag?

Anyone and everyone who wants to do it! 🙂
