Jenn’s November Wrap Up

Can you believe that it’s already December? Neither can I. This year has flown by. That means lots of things. First, winter break is right around the corner. So, I should have ample reading time soon. Which is a good thing. Because, December also means that I have less than a month to finish my Goodread’s goal. This month was a bit of a wash for me. It was a very busy month. We had holidays, birthdays, and YALLFest all in a span of a couple of weeks. So, I thought I’d share my measly November wrap up to keep myself accountable.

  1. Harry Potter and the Sorceror’s Stone by J.K. Rowling:
    • This book is a classic. It always reminds me of the holidays. So, it was perfect for November. We are currently rereading the entire series. So far we’ve discussed the first and second books. This weekend we will be discussing Prisoner of Azkaban. So, make sure you check it out!
  2. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets by J.K. Rowling:
    • In continuing with out reread of a Harry Potter for #HarryChristmas I also read the second book. Rereading this book gave me even more of an appreciation for the book and Rowling as an author. No matter how many times I read it I always find something new to appreciate.
  3. Dear Martin by Nic Stone
    • The last book I read this month was Dear Martin. I honestly believe that this book may be the most important book I’ve read all year. I cannot adequately express my love or admiration of this book in this small summary. So, go check out my review here. This book was powerful, emotional, and raw. Saying I loved it doesn’t even begin to cover it.

Yep, that’s it. I only read 3 books this month. I’m hoping that December will be a much better reading month for me. Wish me luck!

How is your progress on your book goal going? How many books do you want to read by the end of the year?

  1. We all have those months. If it makes you feel any better, in June I read zero books. ZERO. And now I’m racing to the finish line with my Goodreads Challenge as well. How many do you have left to get there? I have 11. Probably not going to make it, to be honest, but I think I’ll come pretty close. Good luck!
