Hi everyone! It’s been a couple days since you guys have gotten a post from us, we are so sorry about that!
I’m coming to you today with a book tag that I got from Candyce at The Book Dutchesses, check out her post here!
You have 20,000 books on your TBR. How in the world do you decide what to read next?
It depends on my mood when I’m ready to pick up the next book.
You’re halfway through a book and you’re just not loving it. Do you quit or are you committed?
I keep going with it… I feel almost like I have FOMO if I don’t finish it. What if something awesome happens later on?!
The end of the year is coming and you’re so close, but so far away on your Goodreads reading challenge. Do you try to catch up and how?
Try try try to get the last remaining books read. I’m definitely a pusher to see if I can make it. I missed my 2017 challenge by about 11 books.
The covers of a series you love do.not.match. How do you cope?
Put them far down on my bookshelf so that I don’t have to look at it constantly… Or I’ll rearrange my bookshelf and do the rainbow color scheme.
You’re reading a book and you are about to start crying in public. How do you deal?
Girl, I cry. Let people think I’m weird. I definitely hold back and definitely not boo-hoo cry in public.
A sequel of a book you loved just came out, but you’ve forgotten a lot from the prior novel. Will you re-read the book?
It depends on the book. Sometimes, I will read a recap; sometimes, I will need to reread the previous books.
You do not want anyone. ANYONE. borrowing your books. How do you politely tell people no when they ask?
I wouldn’t deny that to someone! Unless, someone has a track record of ruining my books I will always lend out a book.
You’ve picked up and put down 5 books in the last month. How do you get over your reading slump?
I will usually read something shorter or something that I know that I will enjoy for sure.
There are so many books coming out that you’re dying to read! How many do you actually buy?
All of them… Yeah… #IHaveProblems.
After you’ve bought the new books you can’t wait to get to, how long do they sit on your shelf before you get to them?
It depends… Is the next book of the series out? Usually if there are more books in the series to be released, I will wait until we get a little closer to the release date of at least the second book.
This is a great tag! I did invest in a little notebook that I keep on my bookshelves where I write down where I lent my books out just so I can remember how to get them back from the right people. And crying in public is hard for me but I will whoop and cheer with reckless disregard for my neighbor’s peace.

Haha, I almost only have hardbacks, so I keep the dust jacket and send the book on so that I know which ones are out!

I only lend books to folks who are completely guaranteed to return them unmessedup, and I only lend books that I don’t care about. In fact, I usually donate them or put them in the little free library in Woodstock NY near my tarot office. I stash the really beloved ones in the cats’ bedroom where even the spouse does not go without permission, since it messes with allergies. The books that are sort of up for grabs go in the guest bedroom pretty much.
