March Wrap Up & April TBR

March wasn’t the best month I’ve had recently, but it wasn’t the worst either.

I figured today would be a good opportunity to do a quick wrap up of March and then get my TBR going for April.

Yet again, I’m going to go easy on myself this month as my life is as hectic as ever, but be sure that you’ll be getting some reviews in the coming weeks.

Let’s start this with my wrap up.

Wrap Up

I read a few books during March, however, two of them were discussion reads.

Because The Case For Jamie came out this month, and I’m an avid Charlotte Holmes fan, I Had no doubt that I would be scratching the third installment of the series off my list during March. What I hadn’t expected was feeling like Children of Blood and Bone was the must read book of the last five years.

Children of Blood and Bone was one of our discussion reads this month and honestly, it was tough, but it was tough only because I didn’t have the time to just sit down and focus solely on reading. The debut novel was above and beyond my expectations and, in my opinion, has opened an entirely new perspective to how fantasy novel as approached.

April TBR

Like I said earlier, I’m taking this month easy. I would love to say I was going to give myself an eight book month and just plan to sit down and do nothing but read, but it’s just not possible.

What I will say is that I believe I can get three books out this month. All of which are novels that I’ve been thinking about for a while.

How was your March? Are you doing more or less for the month of April?

  1. I’m reading Children of Blood and Bone right now and.. seriously, I can hardly believe it’s Adeyemi’s debut?! This book is smashing all the expectations I had for it and those were high already – LOVE IT.

Dividing Eden and The Last Magician have been on my TBR for ages now.. Still no clue when I’m picking those up, haha. We’ll see. 😛

    Happy reading!
