It’s officially summer for many of you and as I begin my journey to getting back on track, I thought today’s top five Wednesday was the perfect kick off to summer.
Now, I’m not much of a seasonal reader, however, when I think of these books I think of summer.
Since You’ve Been Gone by Morgan Matson
Morgan Matson, in my opinion, is the queen of summery stories. Since You’ve Been Gone just so happens to be the best of her summer-themed novels.
The Upside of Unrequited by Becky Albertalli
When I read this book it was fall, but I could easily have seen myself reading this while lazing around my house all summer.
P.S. I Like You by Kasie West
It’s the contemporaries y’all. Something about this book just makes me think of the summer.
Eliza and Her Monsters by Francesca Zappia
I’m not sure that Eliza and Her Monsters makes me think of the summer, but it’s a good read for anytime of the year, which is why it’s on here.
Words in Deep Blue by Kath Crowley
A story about people that live in Australia that is hugely tied to the ocean. Sounds like a summer read to me. Even if you don’t want to read it during the summer, it’s still a gut-wrenching story that’s worthwhile.
I hope to read Eliza and her Monsters this summer as well.
