Today is an unusual day.
Not just because we’re giving you two posts today, but because it’s also our two year anniversary since starting Thrice Read.
It’s weird to think that two years ago, we decided to turn our Facebook book club into a website. It wasn’t because we were looking to be recognized, but we wanted to be a part of a community that understood our excitement over Rhysand and Feyre in A Court of Mist and Fury and our frustrations with the end of The Wrath and the Dawn or even my paranoia after reading The Raven Boys in my drafty Virginia apartment at 3 a.m. It was an opportunity for us to meet and learn and be excited about books.
You see, we’ve really struggled this last year in making sure we were giving you guys timely and interesting posts. Both Caitlynn and I (Eden) have gotten engaged, work has become much more prevalent in all of our lives and Jenn has gone back to school to earn her masters.
But even in the midst of a whirlwind year, you guys have stuck through it with us and participated in this adventure. You commented and reminded us that reading is meant for enjoyment, not just an obligation to the blog. Some of you even told us you were happy that we were just posting when we could find the time to.
So here’s to you guys, the people that continue to support us and engage with us, and to another year of telling you that we swear we’re going to post a review soon, but never actually doing it.
