The Great American Read Book Tag

Sorry for not posting yesterday! We were heading home from the AMAZING Taylor Swift concert and I (Caitlynn) was driving, so I didn’t get a chance to write a post.

This week, our students are back to school so it will be a busy week. It’s also because of school that I have heard of The Great American Read. Eden used this as a basis for her bulletin board at school and then I saw this tag today, it felt like destiny!

I found this tag from the amazing Melanie over at Meltotheany, check out her post here!

If your life were a book genre, what would it be?
I would 100% be a contemporary and I think I’m ok with that. My life has really revolved around family and loved ones and friends and crushes. While I don’t think it would be the most interesting story, I would read it!

What villain from a book do you identify with the most?
I had to ask Eden and Jenn for a little help on this one and I love that Jenn suggested Cath from Heartless. I’m a full feelings type of person and I feel like I definitely identify with her.

What protagonist are you most similar to?
I feel like I have a lot of similarities to Lazlo Strange from Strange the Dreamer.

Which book did you connect with in the past that you no longer do?
I haven’t reread it lately, but I feel like The Truth About Forever by Sarah Dessen would be a book that I really connected to when I was younger but wouldn’t quite connect to now.

What recent book read would you love to be a character in?
100% Ready Player One! I would love to see a VR at that level!

How do your reading habits show off your personality?
I would say that it shows that I like organization and very methodical things. I don’t like to read more than one book at a time and I really enjoy setting TBRs to follow.

What book taught you something about yourself?
I don’t think I could honestly pick one book that has taught me something about myself. Books have really taught me a lot about myself period.

Sorry if we start posting sporadically soon with school starting, we will try our best to get a post up every day!
