The Weather in Books Tag

The first week of school is almost over and I couldn’t me more exhausted. IT has been an exciting but tiring week back to work. So, I thought it would be a good idea to do a really fun tag. When I saw the questions for this tag it made me happy, so I thought I’d give it a shot. I found this tag on Way Too Fantasy’s blog.

Sunshine:  A Book That Made You Smile

The Sun is Also a Star by Nicola Yoon. I adore this story. It is heartbreaking in the most real way. The story, especially the beginning, is adorable and I love it.

Rain:  A Book You Couldn’t Put Down

The Book Thief by Markus Zusak was a book that I read all in one sitting because i could not get enough of this story.

Wind:  A Book That Blew You Away

The Bone Season by Samantha Shannon was a book that I was not expecting to love quite as much as I did. I would definitely say that it blew me away.

Hurricane:  A Tragic Book

Honestly, I love tragic books. However, the first one that came to mind was Salt to the Sea by Ruta Sepetys broke me in a totally different way. It was totally gut wrenching.

Blizzard:  A Book You Had High Expectations For

This question could have a list a mile long. Yet, the one that comes to mind most clearly would be Vassa in the Night  by Sarah Porter. I had heard amazing things about this story. Yet, I didn’t love it as much as I had anticipated.

Tornado:  A Book You Didn’t Like At First But Ended Up Loving

I would definitely have to give this one to Truthwitch by Susan Dennard. I was in a slump when I first attempted reading this series. When I was finally out of my slump I picked it up again and I am so glad that I did. It is now one of my favorite series of all time.

What was a book you gave a second chance to and you’re glad that you did?
