Last weekend was really just a weekend for me to catch up on sleep. Therefore, there wasn’t a whole lot of reading going on. However, I’m hoping to change that up this weekend. So, in the meantime I thought I would complete this awesome tag that I stumbled upon previously.
Recently Watched – The last book you finished reading
The last book that I completed was Jane Eyre by Charlotte Bronte. I’ve been in a classics mood lately so I picked it up on a whim.
Top Picks – A book recommended to you based off another book you read
This is surprisingly a very difficult question. All of the recommendations I’ve received have kind of blurred together, so it makes it difficult to pinpoint which book came first. Perhaps I could say when Eden and Caitlynn recommended Truthwitch to me after having read Sarah J Maas’ novels.
Recently Added – The book you most recently bought
Hmm. That would probably be Restore Me by Tahereh Mafi.
Popular on Netflix – One book you’ve read and one book you haven’t read that everyone talks about
One book I’ve read: To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before it has a huge cult following and for great reason. I adore this series.
One book I haven’t read: The Game of Thrones books. I just could never really get into them or the show for that matter.
Comedies – Name a funny book
Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me by Mindy Kaling made me laugh audibly by reading it. I couldn’t help but relate to her stories which made it even funnier.
Dramas – Name a character who is a drama king/queen
How could I choose anyone other than Monty from Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue. He’s so dramatic but you can’t help but love it.
Cartoons – Name a book with cartoons on the cover
Is is cheating to choose a graphic novel? If so I am totally cheating. But, I have to choose Seconds by Bryan Lee O’Malley
Watch Again – A book or series you really want to reread
I’m actually currently rereading the book that was top on my reread list, Pride and Prejudice.
Documentaries – A non-fiction you’d recommend to everyone
There are so many. I’ll have to choose two. First, Me Talk Pretty One Day by David Sedaris. His memoirs are always poignant and hilarious. I can’t get enough of his stories. Secondly, Wasted by Marya Hornbacher because it had such an impact on me the first time I read it. I would love to reread it again soon.
Action/Adventure – Name an action packed book or series
The first book that immediately came to mind was Red Rising by pierce Brown. The amount of action that happens in this first book is incredible.
New Releases – A new release you are excited about
Vengeful by V.E. Schwab. I actually forgot that I pre-ordered the limited edition Owlcrate for this novel. When I received the email I was super happy with past-Jenn. I can’t wait to receive it soon!
