There’s no way that I could turn down a book that featured 90s movies. Additionally there’s a question referencing “The Craft.” (I am obsessed with this film by the way) I could not say know. I just don’t have that kind of self restraint. I hope you enjoy this trip down nostalgia lane. I found this tag over on Zezee’s blog. It was created by A Book Lovers Playlist.
She’s All That
Name a book couple that are an odd pairing but they still fit perfectly
I feel as though this is a difficult question. Once a pair of characters get together in a book series I have a hard time thinking that it was anything but meant to be. What immediately came to mind was the first impression of Peter K and Lara Jean in To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before.
10 Things I Hate About You
A book/series that you have a love/hate relationship with
The series that takes the cake for this answer is definitely the Throne of Glass series. I love it and I love the characters but at times I can’t help but hate it at the same time.
A character that is totally clueless but you love them anyway
Is it only me or does Matthias from Six of Crows just spew cluelessness? You end up loving him but good lord he seems like a dumb jock in a lot of the series.
Name a book that made you cry.
Dear Martin is a book that absolutely devastated me. It is an amazing novel and the reality within the book and the truth in the narrative is heartbreaking.
A book that makes you laugh
Is Everyone Hanging Out Without Me? by Mindy Kaling. I love Mindy Kaling she is hilarious and you can’t help but relate to her mentality and reactions to situations.
Can’t Hardly Wait
A book with a crazy party
I mean the party in A Court of Thorns and Roses was pretty damn crazy right?
Name a character you can never fully trust
Damn. All of them? But, somebody that I would never turn my back on would be Sevro from Red Rising. I love him but you know you can’t trust that howler.
Drive Me Crazy
Name your favorite “boy next door” or “girl next door” couple.
I honestly cannot think of a single answer for this question. I am drawing a blank on any kind of “boy/girl next door” couples. I’m not a huge fan of stories that follow two squeaky clean individuals.
A book with a memorable villain.
The Grisha trilogy. The Darkling. Need I say anymore?
Name a book with witches.
The Witchlands series by Susan Dennard. They are not exactly what you think when you think of witches. But, I feel like the tenacity of the females in this book could rival the women in The Craft.
