I haven’t had time to get any reading in as I’ve been grading essays for the last week or so, which is why I come to you today with this tag. I found it on Nicola’s blog, The Fantastic Book Dragon, while scrolling through my feed yesterday. It’s short and different and I was very interested in what it had to offer.
What is The Most Expensive Book You Own?
I only have one of them, but it’s definitely my Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets illustrated edition. I think it was like $35.00. But I also got it for Christmas, soooo.
What Book(s) Have You Shamelessly Devoured Many Times?
Shamelessly? A Court of Mist and Fury. I think I’ve read it three or four times. I just can’t get over how that book doesn’t drag at any point. There’s actions and plot points from the first page to the last page.
What Book/Series Have You Neglected Over Sheer Laziness?
Probably Marie Lu’s Young Elites series. I read the first and second novel, but I’d just lost interest by the third and I couldn’t get myself to find the will to complete the series.
What Books(s) Do You Bring Up When You Want To Sound Like An Intelligent Reader?
Honestly, at this point, if you’re reading you pretty much are an “intelligent reader”. The amount of brain power that goes into reading should qualify anyone that is willing to sit down and complete a book an “intelligent reader”.
What Attributes Do You Find Most Attractive In Characters?
Typically you have to be a little evil and willing to murder at least one person. Also, be sarcastic, probably a little angry, but also let there be more to the character than just a few smart remarks and a declaration of revenge.
What Books Would You Most Like To Receive As a Gift?
Currently: Vengeful by V.E. Schwab, because I’ve been waiting five years for this book to come out and I’m too poor to afford it presently.
What Author(s) Do You Have a Love/Hate Relationship With?
Oh, probably Mindy McGinnis, but only because she hasn’t created a sequel to A Madness So Discreet.
