Get to Know Ya Book Tag

Though I’ve been book blogging for 2 and a half years now I still like to complete these tags as a way to introduce or reintroduce myself. I find them especially interesting because my answers continue to change throughout my time here in the bookish community. I found this tag over on Book Rambler’s blog. Shalini’s runs a relatively new book blog so make sure to go check her out!

Favorite Book of All Time

This is a crazy difficult question. I honestly don’t know that I could narrow it down to only one favorite book. So, I’m cheating. I have to choose two books.

Favorite Book Five Years Ago

Five years ago I would have probably said that my favorite book at the time was probably either Shatter Me by Tahereh Mafi or Paper Towns by John Green. I had just found the bookish community online and fell in love with both of these authors.

Favorite Duology/Trilogy/Series

Six of Crows - Leigh Bardugo

Since I’ve already cheated numerous times on this tag. (I’ve got a real problem with following the rules it seems.) I’m finally going to give a straight answer. My favorite series right now would have to be the Six of Crows duology by Leigh Bardugo. It is the perfect series.

Last book You Read

How sad is it that the last book I read was read over 2 weeks ago? This is definitely a rough reading year for me. However, the last book I read was Maus by Art Spiegelman.

Last Book of Poetry I’ve Read

I absolutely love books of poetry. I am glad they’ve become more popular again. The last book of poetry I read was The Witch Doesn’t Burn in this One by Amanda Lovelace. Though I didn’t love this book I still enjoyed the poetry novel.

What Book most influenced your life

Okay, I know I’ve already used Harry Potter for one question. Yet, how could I choose another book instead of this series that changed my life?

Book That Made You Ugly Cry

If you had seen me whilst reading the ending of The Book Thief then you would have seen the worst case of ugly crying. That novel honestly destroyed me.

Book That Made You Laugh

I constantly found myself laughing while reading The Gentleman’s Guide to Vice and Virtue. The writing was so quick witted and hilarious I couldn’t help but laugh throughout the novel.

Character You’d Like to Be For A Day

Who wouldn’t want to be Feyre for just one day? I mean then you’d get the added bonus of Rhys and who could turn that down?

Books So Good You Dreamt About It

Whenever reading this series I always have the strangest dreams.

Book You DNFed

I very very rarely DNF books. I have a difficult time giving up on a book even if I am not thoroughly enjoying a book. I still try to give it as much of a chance as I can. However, I just could not bring myself to finish this novel. What Book Are You Excited to Read?

For this question I had to keep the original answer. I’ve been anxiously awaiting this novel. Yet, I have not found the time to actually sit down and read it. It is definitely at the top of my list.
